About the Cell:

The Sports Council University Sports Board is a wing of the University Sports Board(USB) which is an independent body for Sports responsible for the development of sports infrastructure and to encourage participation in sports. The body is responsible for allocation of budget for all the intra-institute & inter institute sports events, and to formulate guidelines and policies for participation in tournaments and sports activities, within and outside Symbiosis International (Deemed University).

The Sports Council is appointed every year with a view to provide assistance to the University Sports Board on a day to day basis. The Sports Council is entrusted with the task to promote and ensure the participation of students at inter-institute and inter-varsity competitions and to act as a medium of communication between the University Sports Board and the institute. The council also prepare sports budget, plan sports activities, procure equipment for the institute, and ensures compliance with the policies and rules laid down by the University Sports Board.

Objectives of the Cell:

• To Promote and ensure participation of Students at Inter-Institute and Inter-varsity competitions.

• To inform all the students of our institute of any communication sent by the University Sports Board.

• To prepare sports budget, plan sports activities, and purchase sports equipment for our institute.

• To ensure compliance with the policies laid down by the University Sports Board

• To represent the college in meetings conducted by the University Sports Board

• To ask expert opinion and approval of events from University Sports Board
