ABOUT THE TROUPE:

The Cultural Troupe is a student body that works on organizing various events and extra-curricular activities on campus. The Cultural Troupe has been organizing fun filled and culturally enriched events since 2015, with an aim of providing a break from the busy schedules of the students on campus and promoting individual and community growth. Be it celebrating festivals on campus to provide homely warmth to students or organizing exciting events like ethnic day, The Cultural Troupe has always kept the campus buzzing with excitement. The team of the Cultural Troupe is always ready to plan and organize interesting events and activities that give students a breather from the monotonous life on campus and extend a gratifying college experience.

OBJECTIVES:

Organize events such as cultural nights, dance & music shows and celebrate all festivals on a grand scale.
Make the campus livelier and create avenues of destressing for the students.
Enhance the potential of creativity and innovativeness amongst students via various events.
Promote a friendly environment through all batches and organize events that increase interpersonal activities and break the ice between juniors and seniors.
Act as mediator between the students and the management for various activities on campus.

Activities of the Centre

Freshers Week

Freshers' week, also known as the induction week celebrations is filled with social events organised by the cultural troupe. Its sole purpose is to give students the chance to break the ice, make new friends and settle into their new surroundings!The first week of college however can be overwhelming and hectic because we know it takes time but we try to make sure we help students transition into college as smoothly as possible through our social events by getting them to interact with their peers and seniors.

Special performances/events occur daily, during Freshers week.

Ethnic Day

Ethnic Day is observed as an annual, three-day event organised by The Cultural Troupe of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad, celebrating cultural diversity across the campus.Ethnic day remains the headlining/flagship event of the troupe and each day of this celebration is based on themes of dressing, sets of activities conducted etc. For the first two days, the students follow a dress code based on specific themes devised for each day, and yes its different for every edition!

Ethnic Day is the happiest event on Campus!

New Years Eve

The Cultural troupe looks forward to bring in every new year with a bang, the new years party hosted annually, is the flagship celebration organised by the troupe and is something you should not miss!

Sankranti

The members of the Cultural Troupe go to great lengths to organise a fun filled Sankranti celebration with the aim of making sure that the students on campus do not miss out on all the fun of the festival and develop a warm and homely environment at the campus.

Matrubhasha Diwas

The Cultural troupe celebrates 21st of February as the Matrubhasha Diwas or Mother language Day. On This day, the troupe strives to mark and celebrate the diverse lingua in India, and across the world. This event is a celebration of one’s ethnic literature as well as art styles, wherein students from different ethnic backgrounds are always eager to participate.

Holi

The festival of Holi is one of the most colourful events by the Cultural Troupe. The Troupe puts in their best efforts and lines up various funand exciting competitions for the students during holi. The event is always a profound celebration of thefestival with loads of colours and heaps of fun!
