The Quiz Society, founded in the year 2022, is the primary society of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad that especially focuses on quizzing, the testing of general, specific and trivial knowledge to sharpen the mind and broaden the intellectual horizons. The art of quizzing helps to propagate critical thinking, logical analysis and anchor the origin and application of thought. The Society strives to generate interest and provide a platform in quizzing such that vibrant representatives from Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad can be evinced in national and international quizzing circuits, and inculcate the holistic growth of knowledge, perception and cogitation in the individual. Though a nascent Society, intrepid and innovative ideas and personnel are the cornerstone of the Society and its activities.

About the event: Two rounds of the CSBI quiz were conducted. Pounce and monopoly were the first and second rounds, respectively. Utkarsh served as the quiz master for the first round, and Kishan and Utkarsh each served as the quiz master for the second. Twenty questions made up the pounce round. No direct questions were asked, so each of the 13 teams were required to pounce.
Six teams advanced to the monopoly-themed second round, which was the highlight of the quiz. The concept of monopoly in a quiz was implemented for the first time. All of the participants were enthusiastic, and as a result, this quiz received the most responses for participation. The top 6 players all began with their winnings of the previous round. A question was posed to the players following each roll of the die, and points were awarded accordingly. Two teams emerged as victors and runners-up at the conclusion. The first team (individual player) won 1000 and the second team (team) received 500.

About the event: The event was based on the theme “Opportunities and Challenges of Cyberspace in the Modern age”. The first was called ‘CryptHunt’ that was a online treasure hunt, started with 24 teams. First 8 teams to solve the crypthunt qualified for the next round that was ‘Pounce and Bounce’ round involving questions from various topics such as cyber law and cyberspace as well as crypto currencies and blockchain etc. 4 teams qualified for the 3rd round that was ‘Jeopardy’ round in which teams where given 8 topics to choose from and all the topics had 6 questions. Each question carried different points based on the difficulty of the questions. The team with highest points won the quiz.

About the event: The autonomous Quiz Society of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad conducted their inaugural quiz – EXORDIUM on the 20th of August, 2022. This event served as the inauguration of the Quiz Society and witnessed avid participation from all the batches. EXORDIUM was a general Quiz of 2 rounds -the prelims and finals, with questions from varied subjects such as current affairs, history, literature, sports, science, etc. The Quiz was conducted by the members of the Quiz Society and was inaugurated by the Faculty-in-Charge Dr. Srinivas Bandameedi and the Director Dr. Santosh Aghav.

About the event: The Quiz Society of SLSH organised its first challenger round for an online event, for the “5th Telangana State Level Legal Quiz Competition – 2022”, organised by the University College of Law, Osmania University. The quiz focussed on raising awareness about the importance of the legal system and inculcating the legal aptitude among students. The participating team answered a total of 25 questions and were judged accordingly to participate in the event which was held offline on November 26th, 2022.
SLS, Hyderabad is cocooned in the upcoming educational zone with state of art infrastructure catering impending needs of student community.
