ABOUT THE CENTRE:

Centre for Maritime, Defence and Security laws (CMSL) is a proposed initiative by the students of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad which is aimed at fostering Knowledge and awareness in a very essential and demanding field, particularly relevant in nations like India which have long coastlines. Through the establishment of this center, Our main goal is to nurture students' interests, facilitate meaningful discussions, and focus on the challenges and significance of Maritime, defense and security issues while proposing constructive solutions. The CMSL is a hub for academic inquiry, knowledge and providing students with opportunities to engage in a platform for meaningful discourse through means such as debates, discussions, collaborative initiatives, and other avenues, enhancing understanding of intricate nuances of Maritime, Defence, and Security laws.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CENTRE

• To raise awareness about the importance and relevance of maritime and security laws among students and the academic community.

• To disseminate knowledge through seminars, workshops, and guest lectures featuring experts in maritime, and security law.

• Hosting discussions and debates on contemporary legal issues in these areas, promoting critical thinking and dialogue.

• Facilitating networking opportunities with professionals and organizations in the maritime, defense, and security sectors.

• Fostering research in the field of Maritime and security laws.
